RENEWED RIVER LEVEL RISES WITH MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT WALKERS BEND
 Moderate to heavy rainfall in the recent weeks has caused river level rises and flooding along the Flinders River.
 Renewed river level rises are occurring along the Flinders River at Walkers Bend beyond the major flood peak of 8.78 metres observed on Monday 07 April.
 Showers and thunderstorms are forecast for the next few days.

Flinders River downstream of Richmond:
Major flooding is continuing along the Flinders River downstream of Richmond.
The Flinders River at Walkers Bend is currently at 9.28 metres and rising, above the major flood level (8.00 m).
The Flinders River at Walkers Bend is expected to remain above the major flood level for the next few days. Further river level rises are likely at least till middle of the week as upstream floodwaters arrive.
