Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Final Flood Warning For The Daintree And Mossman Rivers Issued at 08:44 AM AEST on Saturday 07 March 2026 Flood Warning Number: 8 RIVER LEVELS HAVE EASED AND FLOODING IS NO LONGER OCCURRING River levels and flooding have eased along the Daintree, Mossman, and Bloomfield Rivers after significant rainfall over the last few days. Showers are possible for the remainder of Saturday. This situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will restart if required. A Flood Watch is current for most of Queensland. Daintree River: River levels are falling and flooding has eased along the Daintree River, and along the Bloomfield River at China Camp. The Daintree River at Daintree Village is currently at 3.15 m and falling, below the minor flood level. The Daintree River at Daintree Village is likely to remain below the minor flood level (4.00 m). Mossman River: River levels have eased along the Mossman River. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates. The situation can change quickly, so stay informed.
