The Barron River at Kamerunga Bridge peaked slightly below the minor flood level Sunday afternoon. Further rainfall is forecast later this week which may cause renewed river level rises. The situation is being closely monitored and warnings will be issued as required. Barron River downstream of Barron Falls: Flooding is no longer expected at Kamerunga Bridge. The Barron River at Kamerunga Bridge is currently at 2.31 m AHD and falling, below the minor flood level. The Barron River at Kamerunga Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (5.00 m AHD). Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates.
