River levels are elevated and minor flooding is occurring along the Mulgrave River at The Fisheries and along the Russell River at Clyde Road. Minor flooding has eased along the Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge and Gordonvale. Further rainfall is forecast later this week, which may cause renewed river level rises. The situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as required. Mulgrave River: River levels are easing along the Mulgrave River. Minor flooding is currently occurring at The Fisheries. The Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge is currently at 3.57 m and falling, below the minor flood level. The Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge is likely to remain below the minor flood level (5.00 m). The Mulgrave River at Gordonvale peaked at 13.24 m around 08:30 am Sunday, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 9.70 m and falling, below the minor flood level. The Mulgrave River at Gordonvale is likely to remain below the minor flood level (12.00 m). Russell River: River levels are elevated along the Russell River, with minor flooding occurring at Clyde Rd. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
