Cloud scattering across Qld's inland in a trough is generating showers & storms, some intense, mainly west. Thick cloud about the North Tropical Coast & Tablelands in moist unstable winds is causing heavy rain. Low cloud in the southeast in onshore winds is causing a few showers.
