    Minor Flood Warning For The Bogan River

    Reissued: correction to warning title and to refine Dandaloo peak forecast.
     MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE ALONG THE BOGAN RIVER AT DANDALOO DURING WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY AND AT GONGOLGON DURING WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
     Recent rainfall from late last week has led to rising river levels across the Bogan catchment. Minor flooding may occur at Dandaloo as floodwaters from Peak Hill move downstream.
     In the lower Bogan system, minor flooding is also possible at Gongolgon with the arrival of upstream floodwaters from Monkey Bridge.
    
    Bogan River to Nyngan:
    Minor flooding may occur along the Bogan River at Dandaloo.
    The Bogan River at Dandaloo is currently at 3.98 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (4.10 m).
    A minor peak (4.10 m) may occur in the Bogan River at Dandaloo overnight Wednesday into Thursday.
    
    Lower Bogan River:
    Minor flooding possible at Gongolgon.
    The Bogan River at Gongolgon is currently at 0.75 metres and rising slowly, below the minor flood level (0.80 m).
    The Bogan River at Gongolgon is expected to reach the minor flood level (0.80 m) Wednesday afternoon.
    
    Flood Safety Advice:

     * Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
     * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
     * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
     * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}
