    Warning for the following areas:
    Illawarra, South Coast and Snowy Mountains
    
    Safety Advice::
     Severe heatwaves can be dangerous for many people, especially older people, babies, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with medical conditions and people who are unwell.
     Seek a place to keep cool, such as your home, a library, community centre or shopping centre.
     Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home.
     If available, use fans or air-conditioners to keep cool.
    
    Maximum temperatures initially in the high twenties to low thirties in the Snowy Mountains and mid to high twenties over coastal districts, with minimum temperatures in the low to mid teens in the Snowy Mountains and mid to high teens near the coast. Over the coming days, maximum temperatures will increase to the low to mid thirties over the Snowy Mountains and mid thirties over coastal districts, with minimum temperatures in the mid teens over the Snowy Mountains and in the high teens to low twenties near the coast. 
    
    Heatwave conditions are expected to increase in intensity and peak over the weekend.  Locations likely to be impacted include Batemans Bay, Eden and Nowra.
    
    The next heatwave warning will be issued by 3:00pm EDT on Thursday 13 March 2025
