Minor Flood Warning For The Paterson And Williams Rivers

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT DUNGOG AND MILL DAM FALLS OVERNIGHT FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY
 MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT GOSTWYCK BRIDGE FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON
 Rainfall totals of up to 84 mm have been observed in the Paterson and Williams River catchments since 9:00 am Friday. Further heavy rainfall is forecast through the catchment for the remainder of Friday and into Saturday. This is likely to result in river level rises, where minor flooding is possible for Gostwyck Bridge, Dungog and Mill Dam Falls.
 The situation is being closely monitored and warnings will be updated as required.
 A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Northern Rivers, Mid North Coast, Hunter and Central Coast.

Williams River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Williams River at Dungog and Mill Dam Falls.
The Williams River at Dungog is currently at 2.50 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (4.90 m).
The Williams River at Dungog may reach the minor flood level (4.90 m) overnight Friday into Saturday. The river level may reach around 6.00 metres Saturday morning.

The Williams River at Mill Dam Falls is currently at 2.69 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (6.10 m).
The Williams River at Mill Dam Falls may reach the minor flood level (6.10 m) overnight Friday into Saturday. The river level may reach around 6.50 metres Saturday morning.

Paterson River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Paterson River at Gostwyck Bridge.
The Paterson River at Gostwyck Bridge is currently at 2.09 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (9.10 m).
The Paterson River at Gostwyck Bridge may reach the minor flood level (9.10 m) Saturday afternoon.

Flood Safety Advice:
In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500.
 * Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
 * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
 * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
 * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}
