On Good Friday, a high pressure system will settle over the east, bringing a warm day, and bright skies—exactly what you need to get into the Easter spirit. Temperatures will climb to the mid-20s, with balmy conditions that are perfect for enjoying everything the Royal Easter Show has to offer.

As the high pressure system drifts eastward throughout the weekend, dry, clear conditions will stick around. Expect temperatures to soar into the high 20s to low 30s, creating the perfect backdrop for a fun-filled Easter weekend.

A Sudden Turn: wet, stormy weather looms for Easter Monday 

Just when you thought the sunshine was here to stay—Mother Nature has other plans! After a glorious three-day stretch of warm, mostly sunny skies, Easter Monday is set to put a bit of a dampener on festivities. As a low pressure system pushes in from the west, the skies will cloud over, temperatures will dip into the low 20s, and rain will begin to move in. That picture-perfect long weekend? It's about to get a little soggy. 

And it's not just a light shower we’re talking about—severe thunderstorms could develop. If you're heading to the Royal Easter Show on Monday, make sure you're dressed for the conditions. A raincoat or trusty umbrella could be your best friend.

Tuesday: Raincoats over rides 

While the Easter holiday may officially wrap up on Monday, the Sydney Royal Easter Show continues into Tuesday 22nd April—but the weather might not be in a celebratory mood. The same low pressure system will drift offshore, drawing in strong coastal winds and dumping heavy rain across parts of southeast and central NSW.

There's a chance of very heavy rainfall on Tuesday—possibly over 100mm along the coastal fringe—with wet conditions likely lingering through mid to late next week, depending on the low’s exact track and intensity.
