    Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders, North Tropical Coast and Tablelands, Herbert and Lower Burdekin, Central Coast and Whitsundays, Capricornia, Central Highlands and Coalfields, Central West, Channel Country, Maranoa and Warrego, Darling Downs and Granite Belt and Wide Bay and Burnett
    
    Safety Advice::
     Extreme heatwaves can be dangerous for everyone.
     Severe heatwaves can be dangerous for many people, especially older people, babies, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with medical conditions and people who are unwell.
     Seek a place to keep cool, such as your home, a library, community centre or shopping centre.
     Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home.
     If available, use fans or air-conditioners to keep cool.
    
    Maximum temperatures over eastern districts in mid to high thirties. Overnight minimum temperatures over eastern districts in the low to mid twenties.  
    
    Maximum temperatures over inland districts generally in the low to mid forties. Overnight minimum temperatures over inland districts generally in the mid to high twenties. 
    
    Extreme Heatwave conditions are forecast over the Southeast Coast District for the Wednesday to Friday period. 
    
    Severe heatwave conditions have developed over broad areas of southern and central Queensland. A milder change will bring some relief to the state over the weekend although Low Intensity heatwave conditions are expected to persist into next week.  Locations likely to be impacted include Brisbane Metropolitan Area, Clermont, Charleville, Dalby, Emerald, Gladstone, Goondiwindi, Longreach, Rockhampton and Roma.
    
    The next heatwave warning will be issued by 3:00pm EST on Thursday 23 January 2025
