RENEWED MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT MARION DOWNS
MAJOR FLOODING CONTINUING AT GLENGYLE AND MODERATE FLOODING CONTINUING AT BEDOURIE
Renewed major flooding is occurring along the Georgina River at Marion Downs. Moderate to major flooding is continuing along the Eyre Creek.
No significant rainfall is forecast over the next few days.
Georgina River to Marion Downs:
Major flooding is occurring along the Georgina River at Marion Downs. Moderate flooding is easing at Glenormiston.
The Georgina River at Marion Downs was at 5.05 metres around 07.00 am Monday and rising slowly, above the major flood level (5.00 m).
The Georgina River at Marion Downs may remain above the major flood level (5.00 m) through to Wednesday.
Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs:
Elevated river and creek levels are occurring along the Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs.
Eyre Creek:
Major flooding is occurring along the Eyre Creek at Glengyle caused by combined flows from Eyre Creek and King Creek. Moderate flooding easing along the King Creek at Cluny.
Eyre Creek at Bedourie was at 4.63 metres around 09.00 am Monday and falling slowly, above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) and above the bridge level (4.40 m).
Eyre Creek at Bedourie is expected to remain above the bridge level, with moderate flooding over the next few days. Further rises are possible as upstream floodwaters arrive.
Eyre Creek at Glengyle was at 4.20 metres around 1:00 pm Monday and steady, above the major flood level (4.00 m).
