Initial Moderate Flood Warning For The Paroo River (Qld)
Issued at 10:14 PM EST on Tuesday 25 March 2025
    Flood Warning Number: 1

MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT EULO AND HUNGERFORD, WITH MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE FROM FRIDAY
Moderate to locally heavy rainfall has been observed across the Paroo River catchment since Sunday night, with the highest totals recorded in the upper catchment. This rainfall has resulted in river and creek level rises across the catchment, with areas of minor to moderate flooding occurring along the Paroo River.
Further areas of widespread rainfall with locally heavy falls are forecast to continue for the next few days. This is likely to result in further river and creek level rises along the Paroo River.
Depending on the location of the heaviest rainfall over the next few days, the timing associated with the minor and moderate forecasts at both Eulo and Hungerford may require adjustment in subsequent updates to this flood warning.
A Severe Weather Warning is current for the Central West and parts of Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders, North West, Channel Country and Maranoa and Warrego Forecast Districts.
The situation is being closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required.
