    MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT QUILPIE WITH FURTHER RIVER LEVEL RISES POSSIBLE WITH FORECAST RAIN
     MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT THARGOMINDAH THURSDAY MORNING
     Moderate to locally heavy rainfall has been observed along the Bulloo River. This rainfall has resulted in river and creek level rises across the catchment, where major flooding is occurring at Quilpie.
     Further areas of widespread rainfall with locally heavy totals are forecast to continue for the next few days, which is likely to result in further river and creek level rises along the Bulloo River.
     A Severe Weather Warning is current for Central West and parts of Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders, North West, Channel Country and Maranoa and Warrego Forecast Districts.
     The situation is being closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required.
    
    Bulloo River to Quilpie:
    Major flooding is occurring along the Bulloo River to Quilpie.
    The Bulloo River at Quilpie is currently at 6.14 metres and steady, above the major flooding (5.00 m).
    The Bulloo River at Quilpie may reach around 6.40 metres overnight Wednesday into Thursday, with major flooding. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
    
    Bulloo River downstream of Quilpie:
    Moderate flooding is possible along the Bulloo River downstream of Quilpie.
    No observations are available for Thargomindah, but it is expected to be below the minor flood level.
    The Bulloo River at Thargomindah may exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) Wednesday afternoon. The river level may reach the moderate flood level (4.50 m) Thursday morning. Further rises are likely as upstream flood waters arrive.
