    Major Flood Warning For The Warrego River (Qld)

    MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BAKERS BEND AND CUNNAMULLA LATE SATURDAY
     Moderate to locally heavy rainfall has been observed across the Warrego River (including the Langlo and Ward Rivers) catchment since Monday. This rainfall has resulted in river and creek level rises across the catchment. Major flood in the Ward River is peaking at Binnowee, this peak will reach Bakers Bend in the Warrego River during Sunday and move downstream through Wyandra, Cunnamulla and Rocky during the week.
     The situation is being closely monitored and forecasts will be updated as required.
    
    Warrego River to Charleville:
    Minor flooding is easing along the Warrego River to Charleville.
    The Warrego River at Charleville is currently at 4.27 metres and falling, with minor flooding.
    The Warrego River at Charleville may fall below the minor flood level (4.00 m) overnight Saturday into Sunday.
    
    Langlo and Ward Rivers:
    River level rises are occurring along the Langlo and Ward Rivers, where a major flood peak is occurring at Binnowee.
    Warrego River downstream of Charleville:
    Major flooding may occur along the Warrego River downstream of Charleville as the peak in the Ward River moves downstream.
    The Warrego River at Bakers Bend is currently at 8.66 metres and rising, with moderate flooding.
    The Warrego River at Bakers Bend may reach the major flood level (9.00 m) late Saturday. Further river level rises are possible as upstream floodwaters arrive.
    
    The Warrego River at Wyandra is currently at 7.17 metres and steady, with minor flooding.
    The Warrego River at Wyandra is likely to reach the moderate flood level (8.00 m) late Saturday. Further river level rises are possible as upstream floodwaters arrive.
    
    No current river level observations are available for the Warrego River at Cunnamulla Bridge, however based on the nearby auto gauge the river level is expected to be above the moderate flood level and rising.
    The Warrego River at Cunnamulla Bridge may reach the major flood level (8.00 m) late Saturday. Further river level rises are possible as upstream floodwaters arrive.
    
    The Warrego River at Rocky was last observed around 12:15 pm Saturday at 2.45 meters, just below the minor flood level (2.50 m).
    The Warrego River at Rocky may reach the moderate flood level (4.00 m) from Monday. Further river level rises are possible as upstream floodwaters arrive.
