Initial Flood Warning For The Diamantina River

MINOR FLOODING AT DIAMANTINA LAKES
Rainfall from the last 7-14 days has resulted in small river rises along the Diamantina River at the Diamantina Lakes causeway.
Further isolated showers and thunderstorms are forecast during Wednesday and Thursday across parts of the Diamantina River catchment, which may prolong areas of isolated flooding.
Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
The river level at Diamantina Lakes is rising slowly on Wednesday morning at 2.37 metres, which is about 0.27metres above the level of the causeway on the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road (2.10 m). River levels are likely to remain above the level of the causeway for several days.
