Issued at 02:18 PM EST on Monday 10 March 2025
Flood Warning Number: 2
MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT DAGUN POCKET OVERNIGHT MONDAY INTO TUESDAY AND GYMPIE TUESDAY MORNING
Moderate to heavy rainfall associated with Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred has been recorded across the Mary River catchment since Sunday morning. This has resulted in river and creek level rises throughout the upper parts of the catchment, with minor flooding likely at Dagun Pocket overnight Monday into Tuesday and Gympie from Tuesday morning, and possible at Tiaro from Tuesday afternoon. Further moderate to locally heavy rainfall is possible for parts of the catchment during much of Monday.
The situation is being monitored closely, and this flood warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for South East Queensland and Lower Condamine River. A Severe Weather Warning is current for the Southeast Coast and parts of Wide Bay and Burnett and Darling Downs and Granite Belt Forecast Districts.
