Initial Minor Flood Warning For The Weir River

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT TALWOOD FRIDAY MORNING
 Moderate to heavy rainfall has been recorded across the Weir River catchment over the last few days. This rainfall has resulted in river level rises along the Weir River and its tributaries. Minor flooding is possible along the Weir River at Talwood during Friday morning.
 No significant rainfall is forecast in the Weir River catchment over the next few days.

Weir River to Giddi Giddi South:
River level rises are occurring upstream of Giddi Giddi South. Minor flooding is occurring at Medpark Bridge and Kilbronae.
Weir River downstream of Giddi Giddi South:
Minor flooding may occur along the Weir River downstream of Giddi Giddi South.
No observations are currently available for the Weir River at Talwood, however based on the nearby auto gauge the river level is expected to be below the minor flood level and rising.
The Weir River at Talwood may reach near the minor flood level (3.00 m) Friday morning. Further rises are possible as upstream flow arrives.
