TROPICAL CYCLONE ADVICE NUMBER 53 Issued at 02:47 AM WST on Saturday 15 February 2025 Headline: Ex-Tropical Cyclone Zelia dissipating over the inland Pilbara. Areas Affected: Warning zone: None. Watch zone: None. Cancelled zone: Inland areas of the eastern Pilbara, including Marble Bar, Nullagine, and Munjina. Details of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Zelia 18U at 2:00 am AWST: Intensity: Tropical Low, sustained winds near the centre of 55 kilometres per hour with wind gusts to 85 kilometres per hour. Location: within 110 kilometres of 21.4 degrees South 119.6 degrees East, estimated to be 30 kilometres south southwest of Marble Bar and 75 kilometres northwest of Nullagine. Movement: south at 8 kilometres per hour. Ex-Tropical Cyclone Zelia is below cyclone intensity and is continuing to weaken as it moves slowly south and further inland through the eastern Pilbara. Hazards: HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is occurring to the south of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Zelia. A Severe Weather Warning is current for the southeast Pilbara and northeast Gascoyne.
