FLOOD WARNING FOR THE WEST KIMBERLEY CATCHMENTS
 Elevated river and stream levels are expected to be occurring on Saturday across the numerous catchments of the West Kimberley District, associated with a developing Tropical Low off the north Pilbara coast.
 Rainfall recorded in the 24 hour period to 9am Saturday include 117 mm (Broome Airport), 111 mm (Koolan Island), with lesser rainfall totals of 32 mm recorded further inland (Derby and Oobagooma).

West Kimberley District:
Localised areas of flooding is expected across the weekend. Disruption to road networks are possible, particularly in areas closer to the coast where the heaviest rainfall is expected to occur this weekend. Some communities may become isolated.

Flood Safety Advice:
DFES advises people and communities to be aware that flooding is possible and be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock. Watch water levels. Travellers need to be aware that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel plans may need to be reconsidered. Do not drive into water of unknown depth and velocity.}
