Minor Flood Warning For The Tully River

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT EURAMO
Moderate to heavy rainfall since 9:00 am Monday has resulted in river level rises across the Tully River catchment, with minor flooding occurring at Euramo and is likely to remain around the minor flood level (6.00 m) overnight Wednesday into Thursday.
Further moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast for the remainder of the week. The situation is being closely monitored and warnings will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for parts of the North Tropical Coast.
Tully River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Tully River.
The Tully River at Euramo is currently at 6.25 metres and steady, peaking above the minor flood level (6.00 m).
The Tully River at Euramo is likely to remain around the minor flood level (6.00 m) overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

Flooding in North Queensland catchments during December 2023 damaged high priority river gauges that support the Bureau of Meteorology to provide high accuracy flood forecasts. While river gauges are being repaired, the Bureau will continue to issue flood watches and warnings for these catchments using the best available data.
